Mayo Under 19 Girls Cup and Shield finalists decided
BALLYGLASS and Manulla will go head to head in the Hayes Mechanical & Engineering Under 19 Girls Cup final, with Castlebar Town taking on Killala in the Shield final.
Both finals are scheduled for next weekend (TBC).
Last weekend's semi-finals proved to be thrilling, with Ballyglass progressing after a penalty shoot-out with Westport United, and Manulla 3-2 winners over Ballina Town, who rued a missed penalty as they fought back from being 3-nil down.
Ballyglass and Westport finished 2-2 after extra-time and it was also a tale of missed penalties for the west Mayo side as league runners-up Ballyglass won the shootout 2-0.
Castlebar Town will be looking to add to their league title after seeing off the challenge of Ballyvary Blue Bombers 2-0 in their shield semi-final. They face a stern Killala side who came through a very competitive joust where they shared seven goals with Conn Rangers, emerging as 4-3 winners with a goal on the stroke of full-time.
The finals will wrap up the domestic season for the Mayo Women's League ahead of the provincial competitions.
