Work of Mayo artists features in Interface members' exhibition at Clifden Arts Festival

THE work of a number of Mayo artists will feature in the Interface annual members’ exhibition as part of the Clifden Arts Festival this month.

The exhibition represents work by a broad group of Interface’s members, a number of whom are from Mayo, on show daily from 12 to 6 p.m. from September 17 to 27. The exhibition opening is at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17.

Curated by Alannah Robins, the exhibition features works by Tim Acheson, Kate Bedell, Geraldine Behan, Frances Bermingham Berrow, Fiona Cawley, Aidan Crotty, Cecilia Daniels, Anne Marie Durcan, Derval Dunford, Adrienne Finnerty, Kathleen Furey, Pauline Garavan, Michael Geddis, Ralph Gelbert, Shandoah Goldman, James Hatton, Bryony Hussey, Davinia Johnson, Bernie Joyce, Jo Killalea, Jo Kimmins, Paddy Lennon, Leon McAleenan, Janet Mercer, Hilary Morley, Jenni Nikinmaa, Geraldine O’Brien Christine Prescott, Clare Scott, Ian Wieczorek and Jane Williams.

Interface is a studio and residency programme for artists, situated in the Inagh Valley, providing catalysing opportunities for artists to explore the intersections between scientific research and art with a focus on ecological restoration and environmental concerns.

The studio is located in a former salmon hatchery, a facility that is now shared with a number of innovative scientific research projects.

Interface offers a year-round programme of residencies, exhibitions, workshops and professional development opportunities.

Interface has over 160 members and has hosted close to 100 artists from around the world since its foundation in 2017.
