Mayo pubs celebrate regional wins in Irish Pub Awards

MELLETT'S Emporium in Swinford is celebrating after being named the Best Local Pub in Connacht by the Irish Pub Awards.

Sharing the news on their social media today, the family-run business thanked customers: “This award belongs to you, our wonderful loyal customers, who make the pub what it is. Thank you.”

Another popular Mayo pub is also celebrating - Nevin's Newfield Inn in Mulranny has been named Innovative Pub of the Year regional winner for 2025.

Regional winners from all around the country now go forward to the national finals in November.
