Mayo Ideas Month launches an outstanding programme
MAYO'S flagship business support series, Mayo Ideas Month, launched their 2025 programme at iHub ATU Castlebar last week.
Over the month of October, Mayo Ideas Month presents a series of idea generation, entrepreneurship and business events hosted by the enterprise development agencies and organisations in County Mayo.
Topical, practical and relevant events take place around the county addressing core challenges and business fundamentals relevant to organisations of all sizes. Each one has high quality and interesting speakers
“The lineup for this year’s Mayo Ideas Month is exceptional,” said John Magee, head of enterprise, Local Enterprise Office Mayo. “The programme offers a range of 13 events covering everything from AI to exploring export markets. Owners of every type of business will find details of relevant and beneficial events on our website.”
Some of the key events include Digital West in ATU (Friday, October 10), which has become a key event in the west of Ireland’s business and digital calendar. This year’s theme - ‘Digital Horizons: Behaviours, Marketing, Transformation’ - will explore how technology continues to reshape industries, consumer behaviour, and the future of marketing.
Media personality and business guru Norah Casey will deliver the keynote speech at National Women’s Enterprise Day in Breaffy House Hotel on Thursday, October 16. It’s a very full morning of engaging presentations followed by a networking lunch. Anyone interested in AI should mark their diary for the West X West AI Summit in the Linenhall, Castlebar, on the same day.
Booking is open for businesses keen to secure their spot at Meet Mayo, the dynamic networking event at Ballinrobe Racecourse on Friday, October 17.
The first Mayo Circular Economy Conference takes place in the Great National Hotel Ballina on Friday, October 24. This is a significant new event exploring how circular economy principles and social enterprise can power sustainable development and social impact in rural Ireland.
This is just a flavour of the events on offer. The events are carefully planned to help businesses at all different life stages from start-ups to scaling mature enterprises. Business owners and managers are encouraged to check out the programme and register through the website www.mayoideasmonth.ie.
Mayo Ideas Month is organised by: LEO Mayo, Enterprise Ireland, Údarás na Gaeltachta, WestBIC, ATU iHub Mayo, South West Mayo Development Company, Mayo North East Leader Partnership and Regional Skills West.
