South Mayo GAA club to host inaugural fashion show
Moytura Hurling Club is thrilled to announce they are downing their hurls for a night and waving their flags high in an upcoming Club Charity Fashion Show, taking place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, in The Lodge at Ashford Castle, Cong.
This fundraiser is run in conjunction with Catwalk Modelling Agency, Galway.
This exciting event will combine the world of high fashion with a heartwarming purpose, raising funds to support Pancreatic Cancer Ireland.
The Club Charity Fashion Show will feature a curated lineup of local designers, boutiques, and fashion influencers, showcasing their latest collections on the runway.
Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable evening of style, elegance, and philanthropy, all while supporting a cause that makes a lasting impact in the community.
“We are beyond excited that our main sponsor, The Lodge at Ashford Castle, are hosting the clubs first fundraising charity fashion show in their outstanding venue,” said Moytura chairperson Sean McGahon.
“This event is not only a celebration of fashion, but also a way to bring together people who are passionate about making a difference. The funds raised will go directly towards the Moytura Hurling Club future plans and our charity of choice, Pancreatic Cancer Ireland.”
Some of the highlights will include a runway show featuring stunning designs from Mrs. Teas, Galway Woolen Mills, The Pink Hat, Harper, Nelly, Fusion Fashion, Standun, GM Designwear, Canella Lane, Complete the Look, and Ken Murphy Menswear.
There will be live entertainment on the night with music by James Biggins, and a VIP prosecco reception with celebrities, influencers, and community leaders.
There will also be a raffle on the night, with prizes donated by local businesses and partners. All proceeds from ticket sales, donations and sponsorship will benefit Moytura Hurling Club and Pancreatic Cancer Ireland.
“We believe that fashion has the power to make a statement—not just in style, but the funding this show will generate will help change the quality of what we can offer our club members and the charity chosen,” said Laura Murphy, Moytura club treasurer.
“Every ticket purchased, every donation made, and sponsorship received brings us one step closer to achieving our mission” says Conor Doyle, Moytura senior club player and club coach.
Your support for this fundraiser would be appreciated as people meet for an unforgettable evening of glamour, goodwill, and giving back. Together, we can make a difference.
