Mayo to host its first Connect Disability Resource Fair

Mayo North East, Ballina Autism Friendly Town and Mayo Disabled Persons Organisation (DPO), are proud to host the inaugural North Mayo Connect Disability Resource Fair, the first event of its kind in Mayo.

The fair will take place on Friday next, September 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Ballina Sports Centre, and will showcase the wide range of supports available to disabled people and their families.

From statutory services and charities to local voluntary groups and social enterprises, the event will highlight what’s on offer, create opportunities to connect, and spark collaboration across the region.

The day will also feature the following: Exhibition stands with information from service providers and community groups; breakout talks with guest speakers on key issues; a sensory space and refreshments for attendees.

The organisers see this as a milestone event for north Mayo and beyond, providing both practical information and a chance to open up important conversations around inclusion and support.

All exhibitors and attendees are encouraged to share their experience on the day using the hashtag #NorthMayoConnect.

The organisers hope that this fair can be an inclusive, informative, and inspiring experience for all.
