Jubilee celebration night in south Mayo parish

KILVINE Parish is preparing for a very special evening of faith, prayer and music as part of the jubilee year celebrations.

On Friday (September 26) at 8 p.m., parishioners and friends from across the region are warmly invited to gather in St. Joseph’s Church, Ballindine, for a community celebration filled with prayer, scripture and song.

The evening will feature contributions of prayers and scripture readings from parish clergy, members of the community, and ministry members, offering a rich reflection on the themes of the jubilee year.

Guest artist James Kilbane will contribute a moving selection of hymns, psalms and songs from his Christian music ministry, complementing the scripture and prayer themes shared by parish clergy and community members.

Well known nationally and internationally for his inspirational Christian and gospel music, James will draw from a lifetime of faith and music to share songs that uplift and encourage, echoing the jubilee’s message of hope and renewal.

Admission to the event is free, ensuring that all who wish to attend are welcome. A financial donation or freewill offering will be collected during the evening to help cover costs.

This jubilee year celebration is not only a parish event, but also a faith event for the wider region. It's open to all who would like to take part in a special evening of thanksgiving and praise. Doors open at 7.30 p.m.
