Mayo GAA on verge of new managerial appointment

The Mayo GAA Under 17 management appointment committee has recommended to the Coiste Bainistíochta of Mayo GAA that Castlebar Mitchels' Diarmuid Byrne be put forward for ratification as the new manager of the county's minor footballers.

Mayo GAA’s Coiste Bainistíochta will review the recommendation at their next meeting and, if accepted, Byrne will be recommended to delegates at the October meeting of the Coiste Contae.

Byrne is a former Mayo and Castlebar Mitchels star.
