Two and a half comedies for the price of one at Mayo venue!
Following on from last year’s sold-out theatre nights in the Linenhall Arts Centre, the Castlebar Musical and Dramatic Society returns with 'two and a half' Ken Armstrong comedy, ‘A Sort of Whodunnit?’ and ‘The Doubles Partner’ on Thursday and Friday, October 16 and 17, at 8 p.m.
‘The Doubles Partner,’ won the inaugural Claremorris Fringe Festival.
The story revolves around a husband who invites his new mixed doubles partner to his house without telling his wife.
The rest is history! ‘A Sort of Whodunnit?’ has not been previously performed, which makes it a world premiere.
In the play, three strangers conspire to try to make their dreams come true. All does not go to plan.
Ken’s plays are warm, sometimes laugh-out-loud funny, and with an occasional tinge of violence and/or heartfelt emotion.
An architect by profession, originally from Sligo but nestled in Castlebar for decades, Ken Armstrong has had eight radio plays produced, has written eighteen produced theatre plays and has made a number of award-winning short films which have been seen at multiple film festivals.
