Mayo resident crowned Miss Universe Ireland 2025
Aadya Srivastava (18), born in Galway and now living in Cross in Co. Mayo, was crowned Miss Universe Ireland at the Hilton Hotel Dublin at a glittering ceremony.
Aadya is in her second year at University of Galway studying law, politics and economics. Through this she hopes to pursue a career in international human rights law.
She was genuinely shocked when she was called in the last three, and the unassuming west of Ireland girl was really not expecting the win.
Despite her gentle demeaner, Aadya has a powerful work ethic, excelling in her law exams as well as holding down a job, which she loves, at Monaghan’s Centra in Headford, Co. Galway.
The first runner-up was Natalia Gradzka (28) from Santry in Dublin, and second runner-up was Maksuda Akhter (36) from Malahide in Dublin.
Speaking after her win, Aadya said: “This win is so special to me and I really wasn’t expecting it at all because all of the girls here had such amazing and inspirational stories. As a proud Irish woman of Indian heritage, I want the opportunity to amplify the voices of diversity and resilience and be an advocate for justice and compassion.”
Finalists from all over Ireland competed for the coveted Miss Universe Ireland crown at a spectacular ceremony, with special guest performances from BFamous Stage School.
Miss Universe Ireland 2024 Sofia Labus from Cork crowned Aadya, who will go on to represent Ireland at the 74th much anticipated Miss Universe 2025 final. On November 24, Thailand will host the global event where women from more than 100 countries will compete for the crown currently held by Victoria Kjær Theilvig.
Miss Universe Ireland will follow in the footsteps of previous winners Roz Purcell, Joana Copper, Dancing with the Stars alum Aishah Akorede and Sofia Labus. Proud sponsors of Miss universe Ireland included Blingalicious, Robert Chambers, FX Makeup Academy, and Choicely.
