School bus collection points queried by Mayo councillor
A MAYO councillor wants to get to the root of what criteria Bus Éireann uses in deciding drop-off and collection points for schoolchildren.
Councillor Donna Sheridan is concerned that some locations are 'inappropriate', citing dangerous turns and blind corners as an example.
She has written to the bus company asking what is the criteria they use for choosing collection and drop-off points for children but has received no reply to date.
Councillor Sheridan raised the matter at a Castlebar Municipal District meeting where she asked council management to follow it up, warning that a child is going to get hurt.
