Mayo Secondary Schools set to stage epic musical

Mount Saint Michael Secondary School in association with St. Colman’s College are set to stage an epic musical later this month. Both Claremorris secondary schools’ will perform the hit musical ‘The Band’, which is a musical featuring the music of Take That and the theme focuses on friendship, nostalgia and the challenges of growing up.

The story is split between 1992, when five teenage friends are 16, and 25 years later when they are in their 40’s. The musical features the timeless songs of Take That, including ‘Never Forget’, ‘Pray’, ‘Relight My Fire’, ‘Shine’, ‘Rule the World’ and many more.

Those attending can expect a night of laughter, nostalgia, and show-stopping performances by the talented students of Mount Saint Michael and St. Colman’s College.

The musical will take place in the Claremorris Town Hall Theatre from Tuesday, October 21, to Thursday, October 23. Doors open at 7 p.m. each night with the show commencing at 8 p.m.
