Celebration of marriage anniversaries in Tuam Archdiocese
The annual Diocesan Celebration of Marriage Anniversaries has taken place in Tuam Cathedral.
Celebrations began with Mass celebrated by Archbishop Francis Duffy
Forty-eight couples from various parishes around the diocese attended the celebrations.
Among those present at the ceremony were four couples celebrating their diamond jubilee.
Music for the ceremony was provided by organist Sinead Kelly and soloist Deirdre Gallagher.
Invitations to this annual celebration were extended through the Sunday Newsletter in parishes throughout the archdiocese.
This annual event, organised by the Diocesan Pastoral Council, seeks to honour the vocation of marriage and celebrate those couples who have marked significant marriage anniversaries.
The group photograph was taken in the cathedral at the end of the ceremony.
After the Mass, Archbishop Duffy invited all present to refreshments in the St. Jarlath's College.
