Celtic Strings Ensemble for inspiring Mayo abbey concert
AN inspiring night of music is taking place at Ballintubber Abbey next month with Celtic Strings Ensemble & Friends.
The fundraising concert supporting Mayo Cancer Support and Jamie’s Ecco takes place on Friday, November 14.
Ballintubber Abbey is proud to host its first-ever Celtic Strings Ensemble & Friends concert, a truly special evening of music, community, and hope. Set within the breathtaking surroundings of the abbey - renowned for its remarkable acoustics and timeless beauty - it promises to be an unforgettable experience for all.
All proceeds from the concert will go directly to two local charities - Mayo Cancer Support and Jamie’s Ecco.
The evening will feature both solo and group performances from a wonderfully talented line-up of musicians, including Celtic Strings Ensemble members Brenda Grealis (harpist and vocalist), Dervilla Ní Eidhin (cellist), Darina Hynes (flautist), Kathy Fahey (pianist), Kieran Lehehan (guitarist), Sarah Lyons (violinist), Zane Kažotniece (violinist) and Eibhlin Gallagher (violinist).
Guest performers include Hannah Lyons (harpist), Raul Sanhueza (tenor), Padraig Grealis (percussion) and Peterina Grealis (vocalist).
Doors open on Friday, November 14, at 7.30 p.m., with the concert at 8 p.m.
