Funeral arrangements for former Mayo councillor Frank Durcan

The funeral arrangements have been announced of Frank Durcan, Westport Road, Castlebar, whose death took place on October 21 in Torrevieja, Alicante, Spain.

A retired auctioneer, he served as an elected member of Castlebar Town Council and Mayo County Council for five decades.

Remains will be reposing at his residence on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Removal from his residence on Saturday at 11.30 a.m. for Requiem Mass at 1 p.m. in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar.

Interment takes place afterwards in Turlough Cemetery.

He is deeply mourned by his wife Toni, daughters Sarah, Louise and Mary, son Patrick, brother Michael, sisters Mary (Ballyvary), June (Castlebar) and Ann (Belmullet), brother-in-law Frank, sister-in-law Una, grandchildren Amelia, Matthew, Ava, Lucas and Cameron, son-in-law Rômulo, daughters-in-law Orla and Amanda, extended family, relatives and friends, to whom sympathy is tendered.

Frank was predeceased by his parents Patrick and Bea and his brother John.
