Fr. Harrington receives The Knock Medallion for his 90th Birthday

Fr. Tom Harrington celebrated his 90th Birthday on October 28 last also the feast day of Saints Simon and Jude.

Fr. Harrington was born in Carrigaline, Co Cork, in 1935. He studied for the Priesthood in All Hallows College, Dublin and the Beda College, Rome. He was ordained a Priest for the Westminster Diocese, where he served in several Parishes with Cardinal Basil Hume, whom he holds in the highest regard.

Fr. Harrington retired to Knock 19 years ago, where he served in many different ministries at the Shrine and neighbouring parishes.

At the celebrations for Fr. Harrington’s 90th Birthday, Fr. Richard Gibbons, the Parish Priest of Knock, presented him with a unique honour, The Knock Medallion.

Fr. Harrington is wished a Happy Birthday from his many friends in Knock and neighbouring parishes.
