Mayo Women's League hosting gala awards night
The Mayo Women's League will be hosting its annual awards night in Breaffy House Hotel, Castlebar, on Saturday, November 22.
Under 17, Under 19, senior women's and masters players will be honoured, with team of the year and golden boot presentations at all levels.
The winner of the annual Michael Jennings Service to Football Award will be announced on the night, and new this year is a Club of the Year Award, which will be announced in advance of the night.
Guests will enjoy a three-course meal and DJ as the league celebrates another outstanding season both on and off the pitch in the county.
The masters are a new addition to the awards after what was a hugely successful inaugural competition earlier this year and with a revised timeline for the second instalment of the competition kicking off on November 18, the masters is again attracting big interest from clubs around the county.
Achill Rovers, Fahy Rovers and Glenhest Rovers were new additions to the women's league this year, and the league looks forward to seeing them and the more established clubs coming together across all age grades to celebrate the 2025 season.
This is a night for all the football community – award winners, team-mates, coaches, referees, family and friends – to come together.
Doors on the night will open at 7 p.m., to be seated for 7.30 p.m. Tickets are €30 and enquiries and booking can be secured via club secretaries to infomayowomenleague@gmail.com.
