Set in a '90s high school bursting with ambition and angst, the story follows Mark, a heartbroken teen who transforms his grunge band into a boy band to take on his ex-girlfriend Shannon’s fame-hungry girl group, The Candy Girls, in a battle for pop supremacy.

With help from the talented new girl Ella and a soundtrack featuring Britney Spears, *NSYNC, TLC, Backstreet Boys, and more, sparks fly, rivalries ignite, and the countdown to the State Talent Show begins.

Will Mark win the record deal, the girl, and his dignity back? Or will Shannon’s scheming steal the spotlight?
