Meteors travel to Ballina for Mayo basketball derby

Mayo Meteors travel to Ballina to take on Merry Monk in this first clash of the season between these two great rivals in the Basketball Ireland Development League (BIDL) this weekend.

The game is fixed for Team Merry Monk's home venue, Ballina Community Sports Centre, on Saturday evening (November 8), with tip-off at 7 p.m.

Meanwhile, Merry Monk's Under 20 team will also be in action tomorrow (Friday, November 7) away to Street Warriors in Mulligan and again on November 16 away to Shannon Jets.

On Saturday, November 15, the club have a big home game in the senior cup against Ballincollig ahead of another home game on November 29 against Sligo All-Stars in the LLR competition.

Both Meteors and Merry Monk got their LLR campaigns up and running this week, the former at home to Atlantic Eagles and the latter away to the newly-formed Ballyhaunis Bears.
