Mixed conditions set to persist into the weekend for Mayo

Dry conditions likely after early showers tomorrow, according to the latest forecast.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7

Friday will be a mostly cloudy and misty day with just scattered showers at first.

Rain will slowly spread northeastwards from the southwest through the morning and afternoon.

As it does so, it will become patchier, giving way to drier conditions in the evening.

Light to moderate or fresh southeasterly winds will veer westerly as the rain passes.

Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees.

Mixed conditions continuing with spells of rain, showers and some sunny spells forecast for the weekend and into next week.

It will be mild for the time of year too.

FRIDAY NIGHT:

There is uncertainty in the forecast detail for Friday night.

Current indications are that it will start off cloudy and misty with patchy rain and drizzle becoming mainly confined to Ulster early on.

Clearer conditions will develop from the south through the night.

However, further rain, possibly heavy at times, may push into the southwest later on.

Lowest temperatures of 5 to 11 degrees with mostly light to moderate southerly winds.
