Mayo’s Mountney to depart League of Ireland outfit

Bohemian FC have confirmed that time is up for Bohola’s John Mountney at the Premier Division club, with the Mayo man set to leave Dalymount Park at the end of November when his contract expires.

In a statement on social media, Bohemian FC thanked the experienced midfielder for his efforts, saying they “thank John for his contribution during his time at Dalymount Park, and wish him the very best of luck for the future.”

Mountney, 33, joined the Dublin club from Dundalk ahead of the 2025 campaign and went on to make 19 league appearances this season.

Bohemians secured a fourth-place finish in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division following a 4–1 victory away to Drogheda United last weekend.
