Battle of the bands final in south Mayo

Hanley's Battle of the Bands final takes place this Friday (November 14) in south Mayo.

Three bands will battle it out for the top prize of €2,000 in Hanley's Bar, located on Dalton Street in Claremorris.

The three finalists are: Blue Lagoon (Tubbercurry); Pure Craiced (Garrymore/Hollymount); and On Death's Door (with members from Newport and Swinford in Mayo, Gurteen and Curry in Sligo, and Boyle, Roscommon).

Special guest on the night is Mr. John Murphy, Kiltimagh – an outstanding guitarist, singer and all-round entertainer.

The first band will kick off at 9.45 p.m. Each band has 40 minutes. Adjudication is by three seasoned musicians, the identity of whom is not being revealed so as to ensure a fair outcome (with no canvassing allowed).

Entry is free to what promises to be a great night of entertainment in Hanley's Bar, Claremorris.
