Mayo broadcaster set to unveil his new book set on Achill Island

Mayo author and broadcaster Peter Killeen’s new book is about to hit the bookshelves.

Set on the beautiful island of Achill, this full-length novel takes us on a spine-tingling journey across the scenic vistas of Achill Island in a story involving piracy on the high seas, kidnapping, robbery of a solid gold icon, and drug smuggling, involving a ruthless gang of criminals, Interpol, the gardai and the Irish Customs Service.

While the main protagonists in the story are four young people, the story will appeal to readers of all ages.

Published by London Book Publishers, Adventure on Achill Island will be launched by Peter’s son, Trinity College Professor Jarlath Killeen, on Saturday, December 6, in the upstairs room of Bridge Street Bar, Castlebar.

The event will be hosted by master-of-ceremonies, journalist and author, John Healy.

Everyone is invited and Peter will gladly sign copies of the book at the launch.
