Kilmore - winners of the inaugural Mayo Women's Masters League - will be looking to defend their title when the masters league returns this week.

Mayo Women's Masters League returns this week

THE 2025/26 Mayo Women's Masters League kicks off this Tuesday, November 18, sponsored by LPB Building Services, Manulla.

Ten teams will contest the Over 30s competition, with games on Tuesday evenings at Celtic Park, Castlebar.

There will be two divisions this time round, and also a new Masters Cup competition, sponsored by Hurst Heating and Plumbing.

Kilmore will be looking to retain their league title, with four clubs making their masters debut - Ballina Town, Ballyglass FC (A and B teams), Snugboro United and Westport United.

Elsewhere in women's football, the first senior provincial fixtures take place next weekend, with Westport United hosting Ballisodare United in the Connacht Women's Cup preliminary round on Sunday.

AWARDS

The Mayo Women's League annual awards night, sponsored by Brian Cunningham Transport, takes place next Saturday evening in Breaffy House Hotel.

The winner of the annual Michael Jennings Service to Football award will be announced on the night, with presentations also to the Club of the Year - a new award - and Teams of the Year and Golden Boot winners across Under 17s, Under 19s, Women's and Masters.
