Fond tributes to much-loved Mayo woman on her passing

The death of Kay McNally (née Healy), Garryduff Drive, Castlebar, and formerly of Main Street Belmullet, has evoked a tremendous sense of loss in the community.

She died in the care of Mayo Hospice surrounded by her loving family.

Warm tributes are being paid to Kay on social media.

One stated: "Kay was the nicest woman you could ever meet. I will never forget her kindness."

Another said: "She was a most hospitable woman with a quick wit and caring nature."

"Such a beautiful person and fabulous for the chats," a further tribute observed.

Kay will be sadly missed by her beloved husband Michael, daughters Siobhán and Dervla (Deb), son Micheál, son-in-law Dean, grandchildren Maeve, Tiernan and Muireann in Australia, brothers Michael and Patrick in Belmullet, sisters Bernadette Malone in Cavan and Maureen McAndrew in Pullathomas, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved family on their loss.

She was predeceased by her parents, Patrick Healy and Mai (née MacLean) and Siobhán’s partner Jonathan.

Kay will repose in Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar on Sunday from 5 p.m., with removal at 6.30 p.m. to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, arriving at 7.15pm.

Funeral Mass takes place on Monday at 1 p.m. with interment afterwards in the New Cemetery, Newport Road, Castlebar.
