Friday will be a blustery, windy day with widespread showers, turning heavy at times with a possibility of hail and isolated thunderstorms.
There'll be some sunny spells also, but it will turn mostly cloudy in northwestern parts in the afternoon, where the showers will merge into longer spells of rain.
Colder than today with top temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees.
Moderate to fresh southwest winds, strong and gusty in the west of the region, with gales along the west coast, will ease in the evening and veer west to northwest.
