Launch of Christmas postponed in Mayo town for 24 hours

Castlebar Municipal District has announced its decision to postpone the switching-on of the Christmas lights in Castlebar tomorrow (Friday) evening due a forecast of inclement weather conditions.

The event will now take place at Market Square 24 hours later - from 6 to 7 p.m. on Saturday.

There will be road closures in the vicinity will be closed from 5.50 p.m.

The event will be a magical evening for all the family with lots of music before the arrival of Santa.
