Podcast: Renewed appeal for missing Mayo woman on landmark anniversary

The family of a missing North Mayo woman are marking 25 years of searching for information on her whereabouts.

Sandra Collins, from Fotish, went missing from the home she shared with her aunt in Killala, on Monday, December 4, 2000.

Gardaí believe that the 28-year-old was murdered, but her body has never been found.

On this landmark anniversary, Gardaí have issued a fresh appeal for information.

They are asking anyone who knows anything about Sandra’s disappearance and death to contact Ballina Garda Station on 096 20560, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

Sandra’s four siblings have now spent a quarter of a century searching for her.

Her sisters, Bridie and Mary and her brothers David and Patrick spoke to documentary-maker Fiona McGarry about their memories of their beloved Sandra and their hopes that she will be found and laid to rest.
