Wins again for Snugboro and Claremorris in women's masters league

Snugboro and Claremorris notched up their second wins on the trot in their respective divisions in the LPB Building Services Mayo Women's Masters League on Tuesday evening.

In Division 1, Claremorris nudged a good battle with Castlebar Celtic 3-2, with Kilmore enjoying a 5-0 win over Westport United.

Celtic found themselves two goals to the good, via an OG and a Claire O'Grady goal. However, Emma Mullin and Marie Bones were both to score for the second week running to peg them back, and then Michelle Nally popped up with the winner to give Claremorris full points.

Kilmore saw five different scorers in their win over Westport, with Louise Maloney first off the mark within the first minute, and goals following from Kathrina Barrett, Annie Lynskey, Michelle Doherty and Roisin Greene to get their title defence back on track.

In Division 2, Ballyvary Blue Bombers marked their debut match of the 2025/26 season with a 10-0 win over Fahy Rovers. The scores included a hat-trick for Patricia Joyce.

Snugboro made it two wins from two outings when seeing off the challenge of Ballina Town - 5-0 the score there. Kathryn Sullivan led the scoring with two goals for the winners.
