Mayo council staff member retires after five decades of service

TRIBUTES have been paid to a Mayo County Council staff member who has retired after almost five decades of service.

A celebratory function was held at the weekend for Sean Kelly, area supervisor with Mayo County Council, marking an outstanding 48 years of dedicated service.

He was joined by family, friends, and council colleagues for the special occasion.

On behalf of all area councillors, Councillor Richard Finn expressed sincere thanks to Sean for his commitment, professionalism, and the unfailing courtesy he consistently showed to the public and to his colleagues.

Councillor Patsy O'Brien also attended the celebrations in Carty's Pub in Knock and extended his warmest good wishes to Sean, Mary, and all the Kelly family for many happy and healthy years of retirement together.
