Connacht's Dexcom Stadium to host historic Women's Six Nations fixture

Connacht Rugby and the IRFU have announced that Dexcom Stadium will host the Guinness Women's Six Nations fixture between Ireland and Italy next year on Saturday, April 18 (kick-off 5.40 p.m.).

In what will be an historic occasion for women's rugby in the province, Connacht will host a senior Ireland women's game for the first time in nearly 20 years, when Ireland played Canada at the old Sportsground in April 2006.

It will also be the first time that a Women's Six Nations fixture will be played in Connacht.

Tickets are on sale now at connachtrugby.ie, with prices starting from just €10 for an adult and €5 for Under 16s, while family tickets are available from just €25. Hospitality tickets will also be available, with further details to follow.

Ireland's Guinness Women's Six Nations fixtures are as follows: Saturday, April 11 - England v Ireland, Allianz Stadium, 2.25 p.m.; Saturday, April 18 - Ireland v Italy, Dexcom Stadium, 5.40 p.m.; Saturday, April 25 - France v Ireland, TBC, 8.10 p.m.; Saturday, May 9 - Ireland v Wales, Affidea Stadium, 6.30 p.m.; Sunday, May 17 - Ireland v Scotland, Aviva Stadium, 2.30 p.m.
