SISTER MARGARET MCHALE, CASTLEBAR
Sr. Margaret McHale, An Sruthán, Castlebar, and formerly of Kilroe, Killala, and the Convent of Mercy, Ballina.
Sr. Margaret passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family, neighbours and friends, on her birthday (December 8).
Predeceased by her parents Bridget and John, her sisters Mary (Duggan), Anne (O'Connor), Pauline (Golden), and Dolores. May they rest in peace.
She is mourned by her sister Ena (Mullahy), brothers Pat, Sean, Tom, Damian and Michael, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, great-grand nieces and nephews; her order of Sisters of Mercy, relatives, neighbours, and a vast circle of friends.
Sr. Margaret will repose in Coady's Funeral Home, Castlebar, on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at the Church of The Holy Rosary, Castlebar, followed by burial in Killala Cemetery.
MARTIN DEVER, WESTPORT
Michael Dever, Chiswick, London, and formerly of Westport.
Beloved husband of Carmel, he will be very sadly missed by his children Michael, Louise, Jack and Matthew, his adored grandchildren Kai, Tadhg, Orlagh, Cillain and Darragh, sisters Joan and Eleanor, brothers Peter, Alfred, Brendan, Declan and Conor, son-in-law Paul, daughters-in-law Catherine and Fiona and Jack's partner Seonaid, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and a wide circle of friends and neighbours.
Michael was predeceased by his brother John.
Requiem Mass takes place tomorrow in Ealing Abbey, Charlbury Grove, followed by a private cremation.
Mass will be held in St Mary’s Church, Westport, on January 24, 2026, at 6.30 p.m. to celebrate his life.

Chris Davy, Ballincollig, Co. Cork, and formerly of Foxford.
Sadly missed by his daughters Gillian and Orla, and their mother Mary, sons-in-law Adrian and Josh, his adored grandchildren Rían, Fíadh and Tadhg, brothers-in-law, extended family, friends especially Denis and Mary, and Coco the cat.
May he rest in peace.
