Celebrate Christmas and the New Year in Mayo with flowers

As the festive season settles over Castlebar, one of the town’s youngest independent businesses is preparing to welcome customers during a time when most shops close their doors.

Eucalyptus Florist, the artisan flower studio on Linenhall Street which featured earlier this year in The Connaught Telegraph, wishes to advise customers that it will be open on the 28th, 29th and 30th December 2025, between 12 noon and 3 p.m.

For many in Castlebar and surrounding Mayo towns, the shop has already become known for its warm atmosphere, handcrafted designs and a distinctly personal approach to floristry.

Since opening just a few months ago, the studio has been gaining attention for its unique style, natural textures, seasonal blooms and carefully curated arrangements described by customers as “small works of art.”

People often look for something special at this time of year for friends and loved ones, a thank-you gift, a decoration to brighten the home, or a bouquet for someone they’re visiting.

We wanted to be available for the community when beautiful flowers can make the biggest difference.

Over the festive period visitors can expect the studio’s signature selection of hand-crafted Christmas wreaths, each designed on-site with fresh evergreens, eucalyptus, berries and traditional seasonal touches.

The shop will also offer holiday arrangements for homes and businesses, as well as a range of unique bouquets, ideal as thoughtful gifts during the quieter days between Christmas and New Year’s gatherings.

The team encourages customers to drop by the shop or explore their Instagram page, where they regularly showcase their newest designs and behind-the-scenes work.

Customers can visit the shop on Linenhall Street, call 089 2682261 to place an order (with delivery available), or browse the studio’s work on their website www.eucalyptusflorist.ie and Instagram @EucalyptusFlorists, where they regularly share photographs of their seasonal creations.

“We don't just sell flowers we translate feelings into art.”
