Mayo woman elected President of Network Ireland Galway

Westport native Sharon Kelly (née O’Malley) was elected President of Network Ireland Galway for 2026, at Network Galway’s AGM held at the Galmont Hotel in the city.

Network Ireland Galway is a vibrant branch of Network Ireland, with almost 130 members. Network Ireland Galway was established in 1990 and is a dynamic organisation which has a diverse membership bringing together women from a range of sectors. The sectors include the public and private sectors, entrepreneurs, employees, business, creative and STEM professionals, who are all focused on the aim of supporting women in their personal and professional development.

Westport’s Sharon Kelly takes over the mantle from Michelle Ryan - whose leadership, dedication, and genuine care for the Network Galway members had a hugely positive impact on the branch,

Sharon is Business Development Manager with Stocktaking.ie powered by RGIS, a multinational company who are leading inventory specialists, providing expert outsourced stocktaking, supply chain audits, as well as asset management and merchandising services to multiple sectors including retail, industrial, automotive, aerospace and healthcare.

Sharon’s passion for sales, curiosity and loyalty have delivered her success in business. However, her most important role in life is being a mother of five.

Sharon’s chosen charity partner for the year is NBCRI – the National Breast Cancer Research Institute, and her theme for the year is the ‘Power of Self Belief’.
