Outdoor shower at popular Mayo lake amenity

AN outdoor shower and lockers are coming to the changing facilities at Lough Lannagh in Castlebar.

This is in addition to work progressing on a coffee dock and water station at the location, with progress on those two projects requested by Councillor Ger Deere.

He was told the coffee dock bay is now complete.

A water supply has to be brought from the leisure centre entrance down to facilitate the water station, and that will happen in the new year.

That was delayed as the water supply will also be going lakeside, with funding now in place to put in an outdoor shower and lockers beside the outdoor swimming changing area. So it will supply both.
