Car park flooding issue in Mayo county town

A flooding issue in the Spencer Street car park in Castlebar has been highlighted by Councillor Cyril Burke.

During recent heavy rain, people couldn't get in or out of their cars, he told management at a municipal meeting.

There was an effort to clean some gulleys since but some work still needs to be done, he said.

Another flooding matter at Upper Charles Street in the town was raised by Councillor Blackie Gavin.

The gulley there was blocked and he asked for it to be cleared.
