Mayo goalkeeper signs with Treaty United
TREATY United have announced the signing of Mayo goalkeeper Amber Hardy from Sligo Rovers.
The Foxford native played her underage football with local club Straide & Foxford before joining the academy at Sligo Rovers and moving up the ranks to the women's team.
After making her debut for the Bit O' Red senior women's team aged 16 in late 2023, Hardy figured prominently last year, with 18 senior appearances, in a successful season that also saw her called up for an Ireland Under 19 training camp, further solidifying her status as one of the brightest young goalkeepers in the country.
Hardy joins Limerick side Treaty United with valuable senior experience from Sligo Rovers along with a reputation for composure and reliability between the posts.
Commenting on the move, she said: “I am really happy to be joining Treaty United Women. It’s a great opportunity for me to continue developing and challenging myself in a new environment.”
Laurie Ryan, manager, Treaty United Women, commented: “Amber has already gained excellent experience at a young age and has shown real composure in high-level matches. She’s hungry to improve, works hard on and fits exactly the profile of player we want at Treaty United Women as we continue to build and develop the squad.”
