Central Mayo's 'Battle of the Parish' is won by Crimlin
Congrats to Crimlin – the new parish champions after defeating Keelogues by the slenderest of margins in the final to claim the Jimmy McHugh Cup in central Mayo's major 'Battle of the Parish' on December 28 last.
Captain Ray Neary and player manager Simon Cloherty accepted the cup from Sean McHugh on behalf of their team-mates. Crimlin defeated Turlough in the semi-final.
Congratulations also to Parke on defeating Turlough in the shield final, which means Turlough are the wooden spoon holders for the next year!
The 'Battle of the Parish' organisers would like to thank everyone who turned out on the day and contributed to the charity bucket collection and raffle, with all monies raised going to The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust and Cancer Fund for Children - Daisy Lodge Cong.
