Cool and dry start to 2026 for county Mayo

FRIDAY, JANUARY 2

Any lingering rain and drizzle will clear early tomorrow morning to leave a cold, bright and mostly dry day with sunny spells and just isolated showers in coastal areas. Highest temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees in moderate northwesterly winds, fresher again along the coast.

Cold with widespread frost and some icy patches on untreated surfaces. Most places will be dry with clear spells but a few showers of sleet and snow will continue in the north and northwest. Lowest temperatures of -2 to +2 degrees in moderate northwesterly winds.
