Mayo parish mourns death of John Hopkins
The death of John Hopkins, Crimlin, Ross, Castlebar, is deeply regretted.
He died peacefully at Mayo University Hospital.
Described in a social media tribute as 'a countyman at heart,' he will be remembered as an affable and good-natured personality.
Predeceased by his parents Anthony and Margaret (née Walsh), he will be sadly missed by his brothers Michael (Ross), Tony (Crimlin), Francis (Crimlin), sisters Maureen Moylette (Islandeady) and Brid (Crimlin and Newcastle, Galway), aunts Maureen Joyce (Station Road, Castlebar) and Margaret Walsh (Hollyhill), the Neary family, his sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.
Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family on their loss.
Interment took place in Turlough Cemetery today after Requiem Mass in St. Michael’s Church, Crimlin.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.
