Mayo snow and ice warning extended

THE status yellow snow/ice warning issued by Met Éireann for Mayo has been extended until 9 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6.

Wintery showers with some snow accumulations, sharp or severe frost or ice may be possible, along with hazardous travel conditions and poor visibility.

Mayo County Council's gritting teams are out this morning.

Motorists are urged to please exercise extreme caution while making journeys.
