Proposal to upgrade Mayo rugby club facilities
A MAYO rugby club has lodged plans for an upgrade of its facilities.
Westport Rugby Club is proposing to build a new changing room block with gym, physio room and plant room at its base in Carraholly.
The plans, submitted to Mayo County Council for approval, will see the demolition of various outbuildings and the upgrading of the existing septic tank with a proprietary sewerage system.
It represents a major investment by the club and it is expected that works will be ready to start later this year.
Westport Rugby Club celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2025, and boasts a continuously growing membership across boys, girls, men's and women's rugby.
