Tractor raffle benefits Mayo counselling service
A fundraising raffle organised by the Erris Family and Community Support Centre took place in McDonnell’s Bar, Belmullet, on New Year’s Day. All proceeds from the fundraiser went to North West Stop Counselling Service, Erris Branch.
The main prize was a restored Ford 3000 1975 tractor which was kindly provided by Chris Byrne. There was fantastic support both locally and from the diaspora, with a total of 1,770 tickets being sold. A total of €18,000 was raised from this fundraiser.
The winning raffle number, 1646, was selected at random via a virtual wheel, and the winner was John Reddington of the JRL Group.
The organisers would like to thank MC for the draw, Pat Cafferkey, and the adjudicator Garda David Reilly, as well as everyone who supported the raffle.
In 2025 over 100 people accessed North West Stop free counselling service in Erris. This fundraiser ensures the continuation and sustainability of this important service.
