Mayo Christmas tree recycling schedule and drop-off points confirmed

Mayo County Council has confirmed that Christmas tree recycling is now taking place at the following drop-off points from now until Saturday, January 24.

Achill: Beside the Bottle Banks at Keel

Ballina: Rathroeen Civic Amenity Centre, during opening hours.

Ballinrobe: Mayo County Council Area Office Depot

Ballyhaunis: Car park opposite St. Gerald’s Crescent

Belmullet: Áras Inis Gluaire Car Park, Church Road.

Castlebar: Municipal District Depot at Moneen – use rear rntrance during opening hours.

Turlough: Horkan's Garden Centre

Claremorris: Car Park at Area Office, Kilcolman Road, Claremorris.

Louisburgh: Car Park, Chapel Street, Louisburgh.

Newport: Derrinumera Civic Amenity Centre, during opening hours.

Swinford: Mayo County Council Pound, Kilkelly Road, during opening hours.

Westport Council Depot, Ballinrobe Road, Westport (8 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.)

Please ensure all decorations are removed from trees prior to recycling.

Trees deposited at any other public locations will be treated as litter and litter pollution fines will apply.
