Mayo GAA invites expressions of interest to design proposed centre of excellence

Mayo GAA is inviting expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced architect/engineer-led design teams for the proposed development of a state-of-the-art centre of excellence in Bohola.

“The successful team will be appointed to provide multi-disciplinary design services up to and including the submission of a planning application, encompassing all required architectural, engineering, planning and coordination works,” the Mayo GAA statement reads.

Expressions of interest must be returned no later than 12 p.m. on Friday, January 23. All relevant documents are to be emailed to projectlead.boholacoe.mayo@gaa.ie.

All applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have supervised the construction of at least five GAA pitch build projects in the past 10 years.

The proposed development will comprise of five full-size natural grass pitches (with an option for one 5G synthetic pitch, a clubhouse with changing rooms, gym and ancillary facilities, a viewing stand with spectator amenities, internal walkways and landscaped areas, car parking, access roads, drainage, lighting, and associated siteworks.

The project will provide a high-quality, sustainable and inclusive training and leadership environment for Mayo GAA, its members, and the wider community.

The indicative timeline sets out quarter three this year as the period when a planning application will be made.
