Windy conditions ahead for county Mayo
The midweek will be more much more blustery than recent weeks, according to the latest forecast.
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14
Cloudy on Wednesday morning with outbreaks of rain spreading from the Atlantic.
Some heavy bursts are possible.
Drier conditions with clear spells and scattered showers will spread from the west to many parts after dark.
Becoming breezy on Wednesday also as southerly winds increase moderate to fresh, with stronger winds at times near coasts. Highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees.
Mixed weather with low pressure dominating for the rest of the week and the weekend. Showers and rain at times but some dry and sunny spells will occur also.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT:
Rain over the eastern half of the country will clear early on Wednesday night.
Clear spells and scattered showers will follow from the west, with showers mainly affecting Atlantic coastal counties.
Lowest temperatures of 0 to 4 degrees with a touch of frost possible later in light to moderate southerly winds.
