Mayo ace secures place in qualifying draw for Australian Open Junior Grand Slam

Westport Tennis Club is reporting the great news that Eoghan Jennings has secured a place in the qualifying draw for the Australian Open Junior Grand Slam, taking place next week.

Eoghan is flying out to Melbourne today (Thursday) with his coach Garrett Barry ahead of tournament qualifying, which begins next Wednesday (January 21).

“This extraordinary achievement marks an exciting milestone in Eoghan’s career and is the culmination of a hugely successful 12 months competing on the international circuit across Ireland, Norway, South Africa, the Cayman Islands, Guatemala, Miami and Bolivia,” said Westport Tennis Club in a Facebook post.

“With immense pride, we wish Eoghan, his team and his family the very best of luck as he represents Westport and Castlebar, Connacht and Ireland on one of the biggest stages in world tennis,” the post concluded.
