Mayo actress to appear on new Game of Thrones fantasy series on Sky

Mayo actress Ellie McHale-Roe is set to appear in HBO’s highly anticipated new fantasy series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, part of the Game of Thrones universe, which premieres tonight at 9 p.m. on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV.

Ellie, who is from Swinford, appears in the first episode as Lia the Lovely.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is based on George R.R. Martin’s Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas and is one of HBO’s most eagerly awaited new series.

Speaking about the experience, Ellie described working on the production as a major milestone in her career.

“Being part of a production of this scale was an unforgettable experience. The level of care, detail, and collaboration on set was incredibly inspiring, and it’s something I’ll carry with me as I continue my career.”

Ellie has previously appeared in an RTÉ Storyland production, The Cousin, and has been steadily building her career in screen acting.

Her appearance in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms places her on screen in one of the most successful television franchises in the world.
