Mayo LGFA announce squad for Lidl National Football League
Mayo LGFA have announced the squad for the upcoming Lidl National Football League campaign.
Ella Brennan (Charlestown) has been appointed as captain and Sinéad Walsh (MacHale Rovers) is the vice-captain for the 2026 season.
Mayo have a new manager at the helm as Diane O'Hora begins her tenure having been appointed following the departure of Liam McHale at the end of last season.
The Green and Red were relegated from Division One last year and commence their 2026 Division Two campaign away to Cavan on Sunday (January 25) in Kingspan Breffni Park. The game has a 2 p.m. throw-in time.

Last year saw a doubling of attendances at Mayo's home league games and management would love to continue that momentum in the season ahead.
The home fixtures are on Sunday, February 1 (v Wexford), Sunday, February 8 (v Tipperary), Sunday, March 1 (v Donegal) and Sunday, March 29 (v Monaghan).
Following Sunday's opening game away to Cavan, Mayo will have trips to Tyrone (Sunday, February 22) and Westmeath (Sunday, March 22).
