Cloudy and misty start for Mayo with rain clearing by evening

Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy and misty across Mayo, with outbreaks of rain expected throughout the day.

Conditions will remain dull for much of the morning and afternoon, with mist and low cloud reducing visibility at times.

Clearer weather is forecast to develop later in the evening as the rain gradually clears northwards.

Temperatures during the day will reach between 5 and 9 degrees Celsius, with light to moderate southwest winds.

Rain will continue to clear northwards early on Thursday night, followed by scattered showers and clear spells.

However, mist and fog are expected to form widely overnight.

Winds will be light and variable across most of the country, though moderate to fresh easterly winds will affect Ulster at first.

Overnight temperatures are forecast to fall to between -2 and +3 degrees Celsius, with the coldest conditions expected in Munster.
